What we keep, and for how long.
A volunteer group needs very little data and we would rather not hold any of it longer than necessary.
Request form data
Your request is shared in our team’s WhatsApp group, where messages disappear after 90 days. The email we receive is forwarded to your greeter, who deletes it after the visit. The details are kept in a spreadsheet. Once the visit has taken place, they are kept only in anonymised form, for statistics.
Review submissions
Your display name, city and country, the month of your visit and your words are published if approved. Your email address is used only to verify the submission and is never shown on the site.
Publishing photos
Photos are only published with your consent, with the review in question or as an illustration on the site. You can ask us to remove a photo at any time, no reason needed.
Cookies and measurement
The site sets nothing of its own. If analytics are switched on you will be asked first, by the consent tool, and nothing loads until you accept. Declining costs you nothing on this site.
Removing something
You do not have to explain why, and every request to remove something is acted on straight away. Use the form through the contact page
