Volunteer-led · since 2014

Meet Maastricht through someone who lives here. Free.

We're not tour guides. We're neighbours with too many stories, who'd like to show you our city — at your pace, in your language.

01

What is a Greeter?

A volunteer who happens to live here. Not a guide reading from a script, someone showing you around the way they'd show a friend visiting from out of town.

02

How it works.

You tell us what you're curious about, when you're around, and which language you'd prefer. We match you with a greeter. You meet, you walk, you talk. That's the whole thing.

03

Why is it free?

Because we like our city, and we like meeting people. The Greeters movement runs on this idea in over 150 places worldwide. No fee, no tip, no catch.
