Volunteering locals
Greeters are volunteers, a friendly face for those visiting a city or destination.
Nobody here is paid and nobody is on a rota. A greeter walks with you because they felt like showing someone their city that week.

Greeters welcome individuals and may serve small groups of up to six people.
Six is a hard ceiling, not a guideline. Above six the walk stops being a conversation and starts being a tour, which is the thing we are not.
Meeting a Greeter is free of charge.
Private walking tours in Maastricht sell at 130 to 350 euro. This costs nothing, there is no upsell at the end, and tipping is declined.
All visitors and volunteers are welcome without any kind of discrimination.
Anyone can request a greet and anyone can become a greeter. Tell us about mobility needs in the form and we match a route to them.
Every greet is on foot. We spread walks across the Jekerkwartier, Wyck and Sint Pieter rather than funnelling everyone past the same three facades.
Greeters come back with as much as they gave. Half of them started because a greeter in another city walked with them first.
