The Tour

A walk, a conversation,a city you'll remember.

Two or three hours with someone who lives here. No script, no headset, no group of thirty. Just an honest afternoon in Maastricht, shaped around what you're curious about.

How it works

Four small steps. Mostly walking.

01

Tell us when

Pick a date and rough time of day. Mornings are quieter; late afternoons catch better light.

02

Tell us who

How many of you, what languages, and one or two things you're curious about. A sentence is plenty.

03

We match you

Within 48 hours we send back a greeter, a meeting spot, and a small note about what they're thinking of showing you.

04

Walk together

Two or three hours, at your pace. Coffee allowed. Photos allowed. Detours encouraged.

Practical

The plain version,without sales talk.

Duration

Two to three hours. We walk slowly and stop often.

Group size

One to six people. Smaller is usually better.

Cost

Free. Coffee buying is allowed but never expected.

Languages

EN, NL, DE, FR, IT, ES, PT — depending on greeter availability.

What to expect

A real conversation, real streets, real opinions.

What it is not

A licensed guide, a fixed itinerary, or a museum visit.

What makes it different

It is not a city tour.It is a walk with a local.

Questions

The things people usually ask.

Is it really free?

Yes. Our greeters are volunteers who love their city. There's no fee, no tip expected, no upsell at the end. If you'd like to thank your greeter, a coffee or a postcard goes a long way.

How long is a tour?

Usually two to three hours. We walk at a relaxed pace and stop often. If you're tired, we sit. If you're curious, we wander further.

How many people can come?

Between one and six. We keep groups small so it stays a conversation, not a lecture.

What languages can you do tours in?

English, Dutch, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, depending on which greeter is available. Tell us your preference when you book.

How far in advance should I book?

At least a week is comfortable. We'll always do our best on shorter notice, but a greeter's calendar fills up.

Can I request a specific greeter?

Yes. From the Greeters page you can mention a name in your booking, and we'll do our best to match you. If they aren't available, we'll suggest someone with a similar feel.

Is it accessible?

Most of our walks can be adapted to wheelchairs or limited mobility — Maastricht has cobbles but it's small. Tell us when you book and we'll plan a flatter route.

Ready when you are.
